Dr Robin Garai

ADHD Certify's Consultant Psychiatrist

Psychiatrist

Consultant Psychiatrist at ADHD Certify | Medical Doctor | Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Community

I qualified as a medical doctor in 2003 and worked in general medicine until 2011. I then worked in Cardiology, Intensive Care Units, Coronary Care Units, Respiratory Medicine, Elderly Medicine, and the Medical Assessment Unit across eight hospitals in the UK.

Then, I worked for one year in the Oxford Deanery in a psychiatry training post. Then, since 2012, I have been working as a junior doctor in community mental health teams across the country in seven mental health hospitals. Then, since  2017, I have been working as a Locum consultant psychiatrist in community Adult psychiatry in NHS trusts in Lancashire, Yorkshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Suffolk, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire, and Somerset.

As a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in adult community mental health teams, I have extensive experience in conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments for individuals with ADHD. My expertise has been developed through diverse roles across multiple NHS trusts like Somerset, Nottinghamshire, the Midlands, and Essex, where I have worked within community mental health teams. In these roles, I have completed diagnostic ADHD assessments with adult patients and worked with patients to titrate, initiate and review medication. This exposure has equipped me with a deep understanding of ADHD presentation, assessment methodologies, and the complexities involved in managing this condition in adults. I am committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting individuals in achieving optimal treatment outcomes.
