Kwasi Ofori-Atta

Advanced Practitioner

Registered Mental Health Nurse | ADOS – 2 | ADIR Clinician | Prescriber (NMP)

I am a seasoned Non-Medical Prescriber with 12 years of extensive experience in mental health nursing, including six years of dedicated service as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. My professional journey has equipped me with a profound understanding of mental health challenges and the expertise to provide comprehensive care to my patients.

In my current role, I specialise in conducting thorough ADHD assessments, delivering accurate diagnoses, and initiating effective treatment plans by prescribing appropriate medications. My clinical proficiency is further augmented by my ADOS-2 and ADIR Clinician certification, allowing me to perform detailed autism diagnostic observations and interviews.

My approach to patient care is deeply rooted in collaboration and empathy. I am committed to working closely with my patients to understand their unique needs and concerns, fostering a supportive environment where we can develop personalised strategies to enhance their well-being. My goal is to empower my patients, helping them achieve a better quality of life through tailored mental health interventions.

Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about sports, particularly football, table tennis, athletics, and boxing. These activities keep me physically active and provide a healthy balance to my demanding career. I also enjoy walking, regular gym workouts, and the invigorating practice of taking cold showers. These personal interests are crucial in helping me manage stress and stay energised, which benefits my professional performance.

In my leisure time, I am an avid viewer of talent shows such as Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent, and I have a keen interest in movies and comedy. These interests contribute to my overall well-being and offer a much-needed respite from the rigours of my profession.

My dedication to mental health, combined with my diverse interests and holistic approach to life, underscores my commitment to positively impacting the lives of those I serve. I am deeply passionate about my work and strive to make a meaningful difference in my patients’ lives every day.
