Sarah Essel

I am a Registered Nurse and experienced assessor specialising in ADHD and autism. Clinically trained and highly skilled in the use of DIVA-5, ACE, ADOS-2, and ADI-R, I work with both children and adults across a wide range of settings.

 

With a background as an ADHD Nurse and ASD Assessment Practitioner, I have extensive experience delivering diagnostic assessments, managing medication, and providing tailored support for individuals and families. My work also includes preparing expert witness reports, supporting schools with evidence for neurodiverse pupils, and collaborating effectively with health, education, and social care professionals.

 

I hold a BSc in Learning Disability Nursing and Social Work, am registered with the NMC, and have undertaken specialist training in child protection, domestic violence, and suicide prevention. As a neurodivergent clinician myself, I bring deep empathy, understanding, and a strong commitment to ensuring every patient feels heard, respected, and fully supported throughout their assessment journey.
