Mental Health Nurse Specialist | Trained ADOS-2

Nozipo Musuruwari- clinician at ADHD Certify - ADHD Assessement - adhdcertify.co.uk
I am a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental needs. My clinical background spans diverse and often complex settings, including Acute Admissions, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), Crisis Teams including Accident and Emergency (A&E), Specialist Assessment Teams, Adult Community Mental Health Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), Substance Misuse Services, Dual Diagnosis, Forensic Mental Health, and Primary Care settings.

In my current role as an ADHD Assessor, I specialise in assessing both children and adults using a comprehensive, evidence-based approach. I draw on a combination of structured clinical interviews, standardised questionnaires, and direct behavioural observations to ensure a well-rounded and accurate understanding of each individual’s presentation. I gather detailed information such as developmental history, medical background, behavioural traits, and contextual factors to inform clinical decision-making and support a clear diagnostic process.

I am skilled in the use of a range of validated diagnostic tools and remain committed to ongoing professional development, particularly in the evolving field of ADHD and neurodevelopmental research. My approach is rooted in empathy, a thorough and careful clinical approach, and a deep respect for those I work with. Additionally, I am trained in the ADOS-2, which enhances my ability to contribute effectively to comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, particularly in cases where ADHD and autism may present with overlapping features.

What drives me is a genuine passion for improving the lives of those who place their trust in my care. I value respect, dignity, and collaboration in every interaction and strive to deliver a service that is not only clinically sound but also warm, approachable, and client-focused. I also understand the vital importance of confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of my work.

Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and dancing—activities that help me maintain a healthy work-life balance.
