Kerry Burke

Specialist Psychiatric Nurse

As a Specialist Psychiatric Nurse, I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves and the unique ways their minds work. My career has given me the opportunity to work across a wide range of mental health settings, including crisis services, community mental health teams, inpatient wards, forensic services, and older adult care. These experiences have allowed me to support people from all walks of life and have given me a deep understanding of how ADHD can affect individuals differently throughout different stages of life.

I understand that seeking an ADHD assessment can feel both exciting and overwhelming. Having ADHD myself, I appreciate the challenges, strengths, and questions that often come with the journey towards diagnosis and self-understanding. This personal insight, combined with my professional experience, helps me create a supportive and non-judgemental space where people feel comfortable sharing their experiences.

Alongside my work in mental health, I am also an Aesthetics Clinician. While these roles may seem very different, both are centred around helping people feel more confident, empowered, and comfortable in themselves. Whether supporting someone through an ADHD assessment or helping them achieve their personal goals in clinic, I believe in taking the time to listen, understand individual needs, and provide compassionate, person-centred care.

My aim is to ensure that every person feels heard, respected, and supported throughout the assessment process, leaving with greater clarity, understanding, and confidence in moving forward.
